Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly

Shift Hours: First 5:00am - 1:30pm


Position Description:

Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing processes and technology for manufacturing. This position will work directly with production to disposition issues that arise on the floor and document it for future builds. He/She will work together with the Engineering Manager on acquiring new equipments/tools that could improve efficiency and quality of products. This position will work closely with planning and NPI product teams to develop manufacturing process and equipment solutions to enable new products to be processed smoothly, and to provide manufacturing guidance and insight.



  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting experiments
  • Applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
  • Confer with equipment vendors
  • Soliciting observations from operators.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of experience in contract manufacturing of circuit boards.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications Etc. (preferred but not required)

MYDATA Pick and Place Machines
K.I.S.S. Selective Soldering
Hot-Air Rework Stations
Familiar with BOMs, Drawings, Schematics

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions
  • Ability to speak, read, and neatly write English
  • Ability to process high school level mathematics
  • Ability to work together as part of a team under limited supervision or independently

Required Internal Training:

  • HCI Orientation
  • All pertaining process procedures that relate to job function


Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5+ Years of experience in contact manufacturing of circuit boards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand and sit.  The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools. The employee is required to frequently reach with hands and arms, manipulate parts in repetitive motions; stoop, kneel; and talk to hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50  pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, a depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to equipment that has moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of being burned by hot equipment (extra care must be taken when operating all equipment).
The noise level in the work environment may at times be very loud.
