Waste Treatment Operator - Fabrication

Position Type: Full-time

Shift Hours: Second Shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

 

Position Description:

Operator will be responsible for the treatment and management of our hazardous waste. Which is one of our most important responsibilities in the PCB Fabrication side of our business. The position will work directly with EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) for compliance of all our environmental state and federal permits.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining Flow Through System
  • Operating and maintaining ION Exchange System
  • Treatment of Metal Waste Streams
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Receiving and stocking of hazardous materials
  • Maintaining waste treatment work area

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
  • Ability to process high school level mathematics
  • Ability to work together as part of a team under limited supervision or independently

 

Required Internal Training:

  • HCI Orientation
  • All pertaining process procedures that relate to job function

 

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, and stand.  The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools. The employee is required to frequently reach with hands and arms, manipulate parts in repetitive motions; stoop, kneel; and talk to hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently use a drum dolly to move 55 gallon drums.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration.  The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
